Pixar's UP & Coraline

Tuesday, December 2, 2008

I don't think I have to explain why UP is one of the films I'm most looking forward to. Pixar has proven time and time again that they're at the top of their game, delivering one great film after the other. For me Wall-E is one of THE best films EVER and I think it will be hard to top that, even for Pixar, but any new film from the geniuses behind the Luxo lamp is cause for celebration. Watch the trailer in glorious quicktime!

I can't wait to go on a wild adventure with Carl Fredricksen and his flying house!

Stop motion animation is one of the greatest and most arduous film making techniques and I have nothing but respect for the people who committ themselves for 2 to 3 years moving puppets or clay, to bring them to life frame by frame. So a new stop animation film, directed by Henry Selick (director of A Nightmare Before Christmas), based on a book by Neil Gaiman and on top of all that, shot in 3D, is a must see in my book!

Watch the trailer here and experience some of the magic.
